Not many Owls are able to just up and take flight during the middle of the semester. With midterms, papers, class, and a million other things students and staff have going on, trying to keep up with your Temple school spirit can be tough. If that’s the case for you, but still want to find a way to “fight fight fight for the Cherry and the White”, Campus Recreation may have found an answer.

Campus Recreation will be getting ready for Temple’s away football game on October 3rd against East Carolina University by hosting Tailgate Games at the 3rd Floor Recreation Courts in Pearson McGonigle Hall. Doors will open at 6pm on the night of the event and kickoff for the football game is 8pm which will be streamed live at the courts. Besides watching the game with fellow Temple students, alumni, and faculty, those attending will have the opportunity for a fun night that involves the traditional “tailgating games” which include cornhole, can jam, ladder golf, and more!

Devon Rembert, the Assistant Director of Facilities at Temple University’s Campus Recreation, is in charge of putting this exciting and fun filled event together. When asked what was the reasoning behind organizing something like this, Rembert said, “I wanted to host this event in hopes to bring a different group of people to the courts and show patrons the space can be utilized in more ways than just for basketball. In addition I think this could provide a safe and inclusive environment while showing school spirit for those who participate.”

If you are looking to show off your Cherry and White pride for the big game, join your fellow Owls on October 3rd in Pearson and McGonigle Hall, which is located at 1800 N. Broad St, Phila, PA 19122.

And remember, Lets Goooooo Owls!
