Time to Tailgate… Campus Rec Style
By Nick Walsh:
Not many Owls are able to just up and take flight during the middle of the semester. With midterms, papers, class, and a million other things students and staff have going on, trying to keep up with your Temple school spirit can be tough. If that’s the case for you, but still want to find a way to “fight fight fight for the Cherry and the White”, Campus Recreation may have found an answer.

Climbing Club Nationals 2017
By Claire Meaney, Climbing Wall Staff Member and Climbing Club Member
This year, Temple Climbing Club branched out to compete in more local competitions, and even took on a new challenge of competing at a national level. This culminated in the club sending eight students to USA Climbing Collegiate Nationals in San Diego at the end of April. Despite having never competed in the national circuit before, Temple University Climbing Club managed to place 14th out of 59 collegiate teams.
Congrats!

Okay. Hike. Run up 20 yards. Sharp cut left. Stop. Duck right. Yes, I’m open. See QB. QB sees me. I’m open. Wait, I’m open. QB sees me open. Wait, QB has locked in. QB is throwing the ball to me. I’m open. This is it. I have to catch this ball. It’s coming. It’s flying. I’m still open. Hands up. In the diamond. That’s how you do it, yea? Yes! Okay, hands up, oh my gosh. Here we go. CATCH. I caught the ball. TOUCHDOWN! First points up on the board. No way had I just done that! Hold on though, I totally just did that.
Temple Titans – An Intramural Story
By Alyssa Ghilardi
If you’re like me, being a part of a team can mean more than playing the sport itself. That is, when you have a team that starts to feel less like people you occasionally play with and more like friends you work to win with. Joining Campus Recreation’s intramural league has been the highlight of my soon to be quick two years at Temple University. It’s not just about the play, it’s about the team. My girls and I, we’re on a mission.
