Student Employment

Campus Recreation employs more than 250 students each year. Student jobs include positions as office assistants, recreation facility monitors, adapted recreation assistants, group fitness leaders, lifeguard/water safety instructors, intramural sports officials and scorekeepers, climbing wall monitors, personal trainers, and website editors. All applications for employment are to be submitted online. Student applicants with work-study status typically take precedence over non-work-study applicants.

Fitness - Graduate Extern Position Summary

The Graduate Extern for Fitness assists the Assistant Director for Fitness with the administration of a comprehensive fitness program consisting of group fitness, personal training, special events, and university outreach. This includes supervision of daily activities, enforcement of university and department policies, communication and guidance to student staff, personal trainers, and group fitness leaders.   In addition, assist with the organization and planning of fitness related trainings, and fitness related special events.
